- Disclaimer: This is in no way meant to encourage the purchase of Call
- Waiting; something I consider to be a completely evil abuse of technology
- (akin to daytime running lights).

- If your modem is really reluctant to drop the connection when another call
- comes in, try setting your modem's S10 register to a lower value. This
- register controls the duration your modem waits after it loses carrier
- before it decides the other modem has "gone away". The default (in all
- modems I've encountered) is 7, or 7/10 of a second, but your modem's might
- be set higher which could explain its persistence. I don't know what you
- should change it to, so experimentation is in order. The perfect value is
- probably specific to each person's local phone company.
